The much-delayed Met Gala finally went ahead in New York and the fashion's biggest event did not disappoint in its glorious return.

The event that is usually held on the first Monday in May was canceled in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic and rescheduled this year.

This year's event was based on the theme "In America: A Lexicon of Fashion" and "American Independence". It was hosted by chaired by singer Billie Eilish, tennis pro-Naomi Osaka, actor Timothée Chalamet, and poet Amanda Gorman.

Among the A-listers, Sudha Reddy was the only Indian to walk the red carpet on the red carpet on Monday night.

Reddy is a Hyderabad-based philanthropist and business magnate and is also the wife of billionaire Megha Krishna Reddy.

She marked her debut at the international fashion event to join the megawatt celebrities to take steps of the Metropolitan Museum in the finest attire.

Reddy, known for her charitable disposition, opted for a custom Falguni And Shane Peacock ensemble. She wore a sequined attire, which comes with a four-meter-long train, which was designed with special attention to incorporating the colours of the American flag.

Her look was completed with a statement ear-cuff by Farah Khan Ali. "It takes an army," expressed Reddy while getting ready for the glamorous soirée.

Taking it to her Instagram stories, she shared some of the snippets of her look.

During the past years, Indian celebs such as Isha Ambani and Natasha Poonawalla have attended the fashion gala at New York's Met Museum. Bollywood stars such as Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone have been Met Gala regulars but they were missed this year.
