The mysterious death of Assam’s popular singer-actor Zubeen Garg continues to cast a shadow over the State

A 25-foot bronze statue of the late singer and cultural icon Zubeen Garg will soon be installed at Charan Beel Park in Morigaon as a tribute to his immense contribution to Assam’s music and art. The announcement was made by Assam Public Relations Minister Pijush Hazarika.

The initiative is a joint project undertaken by the Morigaon District Administration and the Tiwa Autonomous Council. Officials said the statue will stand as a symbol of Zubeen Garg’s legacy and his deep connection with the people of Assam.

Renowned sculptor Biren Singha will lead the creation of the statue. The project aims not only to honor the late artist but also to inspire future generations to cherish and continue his cultural vision for Assam.
