Allu Arjun granted interim bail by the Telangana High Court for four weeks, which would end on January 10

Actor Allu Arjun, who was arrested in connection with the stampede at a Hyderabad theatre during the premiere of ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ on December 4, 2024, and later released on interim bail, was granted regular bail by a local court on January 3, 2025. The court set the bail conditions, directing the actor to provide two sureties of Rs 50,000 each.

The tragic incident occurred when a large crowd gathered at the Sandhya 70MM theatre to catch a glimpse of the National Award-winning actor, who had arrived with music director Devi Sri Prasad for the screening. In the ensuing chaos, a 35-year-old woman named Revathi lost her life, and her 9-year-old son was hospitalized due to asphyxiation.

Following the incident, Allu Arjun and the makers of ‘Pushpa 2’ announced a compensation of Rs 2 crore for the child’s family. The actor personally contributed Rs 1 crore, while Mythri Movies and director Sukumar each donated Rs 50 lakh.
