In 2023, the total count of domestic air travelers reached 152 million. This figure reflects a substantial year-on-year growth of 23.36 percent, attributed to the recovery following the pandemic.
The DGCA reports that IndiGo’s market share in domestic air passenger traffic rose from 60.5 percent in 2023 to 61.9 percent in 2024. In that year, India’s largest airline transported a total of 99.9 million domestic air passengers.
