In the manufacturing sector for the year 2023-24, approximately 58% of the establishments were led by female owners, reflecting a rise of 4 percentage points compared to the prior year.
The comprehensive findings from the Annual Survey of Unincorporated Sector Enterprises (ASUSE) 2023-24 revealed that, in total, 28.1% of the workforce for the year comprised female workers.
Notably, within the category of Own Account Enterprises (OAEs), women represented a substantial portion, making up over one-third (33.7%) of the total workforce in this sector.
