 The government has set a target of reaching 500 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030, with an ambitious goal of 1,800 GW by 2047, according to Joshi. He emphasized that this initiative, combined with continuous policy support and financial investment, establishes India as a frontrunner in the global shift towards clean energy.
