The Sambhal District Judge Court has issued a notice to Rahul Gandhi, asking him to respond or appear on April 4 over his remark that the opposition is fighting not just the BJP and RSS but the Indian state itself

The District Judge Court of Sambhal issued a notice to Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, asking him to either respond or appear in court on April 4 regarding a complaint filed against him over his statement that “Our fight is not against the BJP or RSS, but against the Indian state.”

Advocate Sachin Goyal confirmed that the court had accepted the complaint and directed Gandhi to either appear in person on April 4 or submit a written response.

“Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi made a statement on January 15, 2025, saying, ‘We are now fighting the BJP, the RSS, and the Indian State itself.’ A complaint was filed by Simran Gupta in the special MP/MLA court seeking an FIR against him. However, the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) dismissed it on jurisdictional grounds,” Advocate Goyal explained.
