The UNESCO register honours historical manuscripts, texts, and documents that have had a lasting impact on human civilization. The Bhagavad Gita, a timeless spiritual discourse between Lord Krishna and Arjuna, is widely revered as a foundational work in Indian philosophy and ethics.

Similarly, the Natyashastra, authored by the ancient sage Bharat Muni, is hailed as the definitive treatise on performing arts, laying the groundwork for classical Indian theatre, dance, and music.
