Vaibhav Suryavanshi, a 14-year-old Rajasthan Royals batter, made a memorable IPL debut against Lucknow Super Giants, hitting a six on his first ball

The IPL 2025 match between Lucknow Super Giants and Rajasthan Royals turned into a spectacle — not just because of the contest, but due to the sensational debut of a 14-year-old prodigy, Vaibhav Suryavanshi.

Youngest Player to Make an IPL Debut: At 14 years and 23 days, Suryavanshi became the youngest-ever player to debut in the IPL, breaking the previous record held by Prayas Ray Barman, who debuted at 16 years and 157 days in 2019.

Youngest to Hit a Six in IPL: Suryavanshi didn’t just make an appearance — he made a statement. During his innings, he became the youngest batter to hit a six in IPL history. The previous record belonged to stand-in RR captain Riyan Parag, who achieved the feat at 17 years and 161 days.

Youngest to Hit a Four in IPL: Adding to his list of milestones, Suryavanshi also became the youngest player to hit a boundary in the tournament.
