Maye Musk, mother of tech billionaire Elon Musk, is currently in Mumbai, India, where she celebrated her 77th birthday with a heartfelt surprise from her son. Elon made the day extra special by sending her a beautiful bouquet of flowers to mark the occasion.
Sharing a photo on X with the flowers, Maye wrote, “Thank you, Elon, for sending these beautiful birthday flowers to me in Mumbai. Love m (sic).” Elon replied to the post, “Love you, Mom. Thanks for everything.” Maye responded with a “Thank you.”
A former model and dietitian, Maye is known to cherish birthday traditions, especially with her family. She has previously shared that her children – Elon, Kimbal, and Tosca – always plan something memorable for her every five years. To celebrate turning 77, she also took a nostalgic trip down memory lane, posting throwback photos from past milestone birthdays spent with her kids.
For her special day, Maye traded the glitz of red carpets for the vibrant charm of Mumbai, donning a stunning traditional Sabyasachi lehenga-gown. The blush-toned ensemble, a custom creation from Sabyasachi’s Heritage Collection, featured intricate embroidery, delicate floral motifs, and a sheer dupatta that added an effortless elegance to her look.
The full-sleeved blouse came with a high neckline and heavy embellishments, while bold statement earrings added a touch of drama to the graceful outfit. Her makeup artist shared more glimpses of the celebration on Instagram, capturing Maye’s radiant appearance.
Maye is currently in Mumbai for the launch of the Hindi edition of her book, A Woman Makes a Plan.
