The delivery of BrahMos supersonic cruise missiles to the Philippines is part of a $375 million deal signed in 2022 between New Delhi and Manila

India has delivered the second batch of its supersonic BrahMos missile system to the Philippines, representing a significant achievement in the nation’s defense export efforts.

In contrast to the initial delivery conducted by an Indian Air Force aircraft in April 2024, the most recent shipment is being carried by sea, as reported by The New Indian Express. This development is part of a $375 million agreement established in 2022 between New Delhi and Manila, which entails India supplying three BrahMos missile batteries, along with their launchers and related equipment.

The BrahMos missile is a supersonic cruise missile created through a partnership between India’s Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and Russia’s NPO Mashinostroyenia.
