Actor Rohit Basfore, who is known for his role in the third season of Amazon Prime series ‘Family Man’, was found dead near a waterfall in Assam’s Garbhanga forest.
According to reports, authorities from Rani Police Outpost declared the time of the incident around 2 pm.
The actor had returned to Guwahati from Mumbai a few months ago and was enjoying his time at home. His family claimed to Odisha Bytes that on Sunday, he left home for a picnic with nine of his friends in the afternoon at around 12.30 pm. They got concerned after they lost contact with him in the evening. One of his friends informed his family a few hours later.
Rohit was taken to a hospital and declared dead on arrival.
Rohit’s family has reported this to be a murder as he had been involved in a fight over parking recently. His family named Ranjit Basfore, Ashok Basfore, and Dharam Basfore, who had allegedly threatened to kill him during the dispute. They also named Amardeep, a gym owner, who was the one to have invited him for the outing.
