India launched strikes at Pakistani air defence radars and systems at different areas this morning, the government said

Pakistan launched coordinated attacks targeting multiple military sites across 15 cities in the northern and western parts of the country – including Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, and Gujarat. These attacks, reportedly carried out using air defense missiles and counter-drone systems, were effectively neutralised by India’s robust ‘Integrated Grid’ – a network comprising counter-UAV systems and air defence platforms such as the S-400 and Akash missile systems.

Debris from the intercepted projectiles is being recovered from various locations, providing clear evidence of the attempted strikes. During a press briefing on Operation Sindoor, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) described India’s response as “focused, measured, and non-escalatory.” It was emphasised that Indian forces deliberately avoided targeting Pakistani military establishments, but reiterated that any future attacks on Indian military assets will invite an appropriate and proportional response.

In a retaliatory operation this morning, the Indian Armed Forces targeted Pakistani air defence radars and installations at several locations. An air defence system near Lahore was among those neutralised. The Indian response matched Pakistan’s actions in both domain and intensity.

Meanwhile, Pakistan has intensified unprovoked artillery and mortar shelling along the Line of Control (LoC), particularly in the Kupwara, Baramulla, Uri, Poonch, Mendhar, and Rajouri sectors of Jammu and Kashmir. This has tragically resulted in the deaths of sixteen civilians, including three women and five children.

In response, Indian forces have taken action to suppress and silence the source of this heavy fire. The Armed Forces have reiterated their commitment to de-escalation, contingent on mutual restraint from the Pakistani military.
