The government will send seven all-party delegations to key partner countries, including members of the United Nations Security Council, later this month to deliver India’s message of zero tolerance against terrorism, following the Pahalgam terror attack and Operation Sindoor.
A statement from the Parliamentary Affairs Ministry issued on Saturday, May 17, 2025, read: “The all-party delegations will emphasize India’s national consensus and firm approach to combating terrorism in all its forms. They will carry a strong message to the world of India’s zero-tolerance stance on terrorism.”
The government has carefully selected leaders from across the political spectrum to head these delegations, ensuring they are articulate and represent diverse political views. The heads of the delegations include: Shashi Tharoor (Congress), Ravi Shankar Prasad (BJP), Sanjay Kumar Jha (JD(U)), Baijayant Panda (BJP), Kanimozhi Karunanidhi (DMK), Supriya Sule (NCP) and Shrikant Eknath Shinde (Shiv Sena).
While four of the leaders are from the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA), three come from the opposition INDIA bloc. Each delegation will visit around five countries.
