In a huge blow to the Aam Aadmi Party, 13 councillors resigned from its primary membership. The rebel councillors are likely to float a separate party under the leadership of Mukesh Goyal, who was the leader of the House for AAP in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi.
All the municipal councillors resigned from the Aam Aadmi Party and decided to form a new outfit — Indraprastha Vikas Party.
The councillors who resigned are Mukesh Goyal, Hemchand Goyal, Dinesh Bhardwaj, Himani Jain, Usha Sharma, Sahib Kumar, Rakhi Kumar, Ashok Pandey, Rajesh Kumar, Anil Rana, Devendra Kumar, and Himani Jain.
