Virat Kohli added another remarkable chapter to his storied career on Tuesday, May 27, becoming the first player to score 9,000 T20 runs for a single franchise.
The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) batter reached the milestone during their IPL 2025 match against Lucknow Super Giants at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.
Kohli, who has been with RCB since the inaugural IPL season in 2008, needed just 24 runs heading into the game and got there with ease as his side made a solid start in their pursuit of the 228-run target. The 9,000-run tally includes 8,579 runs in the IPL and 424 in the now-defunct Champions League T20 (CLT20), all for RCB.
