Accused purchased machete near Guwahati railway station in Assam

A machete used in last month’s murder of Raja Raghuvanshi, an Indore-based transport businessman, while honeymooning in Meghalaya with his wife Sonam Raghuvanshi has been recovered from the crime scene.

According to reports, Raja (29) was attacked several times with a machete. The victim also tried to save himself during the assault.

Police said the accused had brought a machete near Guwahati railway station in Assam. The weapon was recovered from the crime scene in Meghalaya.

Sonam (25) is accused of getting Raja killed during their honeymoon in Meghalaya with the help of her lover Raj Kushwaha (20) and three others, in a case which has sent shockwaves across the country.
