Shefali Jariwala, fondly known as the ‘Kaanta Laga’ girl, had passes away at just 42. Her sudden demise has deeply saddened fans and the entertainment industry

Actor Shefali Jariwala, widely remembered for her breakout appearance in the iconic 2002 music video Kaanta Laga, passed away late Friday night, June 27. She was 42.

Her body was discovered at her residence in Andheri, Mumbai. According to police, they received the alert around 1 a.m. on Saturday, June 28. A forensic team and police personnel reached the scene, and her body was sent to Cooper Hospital for postmortem. The cause of death is yet to be confirmed.

As per reports, she was brought to the Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital by her husband, actor Parag Tyagi, where she was declared dead on arrival at approximately 11:15 p.m.

Though unconfirmed officially, some media outlets have reported that Jariwala may have suffered a heart attack.

Apart from her music video fame, Jariwala was known for her appearances in reality shows like Nach Baliye alongside her husband, and later as a contestant on Bigg Boss 13, hosted by Salman Khan.

Her sudden demise has left the entertainment industry in shock, with tributes pouring in from colleagues and fans alike.
