An Air India flight (AI103) from New Delhi to Washington, DC made a scheduled refuelling stop in Vienna, Austria on July 2, but did not resume its onward journey, according to data from Flightradar24.

Air India confirmed that while the stop in Vienna was planned, the aircraft remained grounded after a routine inspection revealed the need for extended maintenance. As a result, the Vienna–Washington leg was cancelled, and passengers were disembarked in Vienna.

The return flight, AI104 from Washington to Delhi via Vienna, was also cancelled. Affected passengers were either accommodated on alternate flights or offered full refunds, based on their preference, the airline said.
