260 people died in crash, preliminary report submitted to Centre

The investigation team probing the tragic Air India crash in Ahmedabad has submitted its preliminary findings to the Ministry of Civil Aviation.

However, the specific conclusions reached by the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) remain undisclosed at this stage.

The fatal incident occurred on June 12, when a London-bound Air India flight crashed into a hostel complex in the Meghaninagar area, shortly after takeoff from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport. The crash claimed the lives of 241 people onboard and several others on the ground. Remarkably, one passenger survived the crash.
