The Indian skipper joins her current deputy Smriti Mandhana and former captain Mithali Raj in the elite list.

Harmanpreet Kaur etched her name in the record books by becoming the third Indian woman to score over 4,000 runs in One Day Internationals. She achieved this milestone during India’s third ODI against England at the Riverside Ground in Durham. With this feat, the Indian captain joins an elite club that includes current vice-captain Smriti Mandhana and former skipper Mithali Raj.

The 36-year-old reached the landmark in her 149th ODI appearance (129th innings), showcasing her consistency and longevity in the format. Harmanpreet, who made her ODI debut against Pakistan in the 2009 World Cup, has been a pivotal figure in Indian women’s cricket for over a decade. She is also India’s most-capped international cricketer, with 337 appearances across all formats.

One of her most iconic performances came during the 2017 World Cup semifinals, where she smashed an unbeaten 171 off 115 balls against Australia — still her highest score in ODIs. As a leader and a trailblazer, Harmanpreet’s latest milestone further cements her legacy in Indian cricket history.
