The advisory said that in case of any emergency, Indian nationals may approach the Embassy of India in Cambodia's Phnom Penh.

Amid intensifying armed clashes along the Cambodia-Thailand border, the Indian Embassy in Cambodia on Saturday, July 26, issued an urgent advisory, cautioning Indian nationals against traveling to the conflict-hit border regions. The advisory comes as months of simmering tensions between the two Southeast Asian nations threaten to erupt into full-scale war.

“In view of the ongoing clashes at the Cambodia-Thailand border, Indian nationals are advised to avoid traveling to the border areas,” the embassy stated, also urging citizens to reach out in case of emergencies. A similar alert was issued by the Indian Embassy in Thailand on Friday, warning against travel to over 20 locations across provinces including Ubon Ratchathani, Surin, Sisaket, Buriram, Sa Kaeo, Chanthaburi, and Trat.

Saturday marked the third consecutive day of fierce fighting, with new flashpoints emerging and both nations exchanging accusations while seeking diplomatic support. At least 31 people have been killed and more than 130,000 displaced, making this the most intense cross-border violence between Cambodia and Thailand in over a decade.
