The disruption affected flight departures for multiple airlines, including Air India.

Flight operations at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport were disrupted on Saturday, August 9, following a third-party data network outage, Air India said in an advisory. The issue impacted airline check-in systems, causing delays for passengers.

According to officials, the technical glitch temporarily hindered processing at check-in counters, leading to longer queues and slower boarding procedures. Several flights experienced delays as airlines worked to manage the disruption.

While the affected systems have now been restored, airline authorities have cautioned that residual delays may persist. Operations are expected to normalize gradually as schedules are adjusted and backlogs are cleared.
