Tejashwi Yadav has alleged that Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha has two voter ID cards.

Amid the ongoing controversy over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in poll-bound Bihar, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav on Sunday, August 10, accused Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha of holding two voter identity cards from different assembly constituencies. He demanded immediate action against Sinha over the alleged violation.

Yadav claimed that Sinha’s name was listed in both the Lakhisarai assembly constituency and the Bankipur assembly constituency in Patna district, each with separate EPIC numbers. He further alleged discrepancies in the records, pointing out that Sinha’s age was recorded as 57 in one list and 60 in another.

Responding to the charges, Sinha clarified that his name was originally registered only in Bankipur. He said that in April 2024, he applied to be added to the Lakhisarai voter list while simultaneously requesting the removal of his name from the Bankipur rolls.
