India on Saturday, August 16, extended a warm welcome to the Alaska Summit between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin, describing their efforts as a positive step toward global stability and peace.
In an official statement, the Ministry of External Affairs praised the leadership of both Trump and Putin, calling it “highly commendable” in the context of their efforts to ease tensions and seek constructive dialogue.
New Delhi emphasized that such high-level engagements are vital in the pursuit of peace, noting that cooperation between major powers contributes to a more secure and balanced international environment.
