An Indigo flight from Lucknow to Delhi, carrying 151 passengers including MP Dimple Yadav, wife of former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, experienced a scare on September 13 morning when it was forced to abort take-off due to a technical fault. The incident occurred at around 10:30 am at Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport.
Flight 6E-2111 had just taxied onto the runway when its engines failed to generate sufficient thrust for take-off. Acting swiftly, the pilot alerted Air Traffic Control and applied emergency brakes, bringing the aircraft to a halt before it could lift off. The plane was later taken back for inspection.
Passengers reported panic inside the cabin when the plane came to an abrupt stop. Suraj Singh of Gonda, a Samajwadi Party member on board, shared on social media that the sudden halt caused fear among those on the flight. However, crew members reassured passengers and explained the technical problem before returning safely to the terminal.
