Singer Amritprabha Mahanta and musician Shekhar Jyoti Goswami were escorted from the CJM court to the CID office earlier on Friday, October 3.
Following their production in court, both have been remanded to 14 days of police custody to facilitate further investigation into the case.
The arrests form part of the ongoing SIT probe into the mysterious death of singer Zubeen Garg, who died on September 19 in Singapore while swimming in the sea. Authorities continue to question key associates and witnesses linked to the incident.
