Zubeen Garg’s wife's heartfelt note seeking justice for her husband

Nearly two weeks after the death of singer Zubeen Garg, his wife Garima Saikia Garg has penned a heartfelt note on social media, expressing her grief, pain, and quest for justice. Sharing a picture of herself feeding Zubeen, Garima wrote on Facebook, “The last one for this life. But we will be together again. Very soon, Goldie.” Her emotional post has deeply moved fans and followers mourning the iconic Assamese singer’s sudden demise.

In an Assamese message accompanying the post, Garima questioned the mystery surrounding Zubeen’s death, writing, “Now, we all need to know what suddenly happened to you. Why? This is now the big question. This question is lighting a fire in my chest day in and day out. I need an answer.” She concluded her post with the hashtag #JusticeForZubeenGarg, echoing the growing public demand for truth and accountability.

Zubeen Garg allegedly died by drowning during a yacht party in Singapore, sparking widespread outrage and speculation. Responding to the public and family’s demand for clarity, the Assam Government has ordered a CID inquiry and constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the incident. So far, four individuals—Shyamkanu Mahanta, Siddharth Sharma, Amritprava Mahanta, and Shekharjyoti Goswami—have been arrested and remain in police custody as investigations continue.
