A tragic landslide in Bilaspur district of Himachal Pradesh claimed at least 10 lives on Tuesday after a private bus was buried under mud and rocks.
The incident occurred near Ballu Bridge when a large amount of debris from a hillside came crashing down on the bus, which was travelling on the Marotan–Kalaul route.
Rescue operations are currently underway, with police, fire department, and disaster management teams working to clear the debris. One child has been safely rescued, while several passengers are feared trapped. A video from the site showed heavy machinery and local volunteers attempting to reach those still trapped inside the bus.
Authorities have warned residents and travellers to remain cautious, especially in landslide-prone areas, and to follow weather advisories closely.
The situation remains fluid, and updates will be provided as rescue efforts continue.
