Mumbai Police has registered a rape case against actor Ajaz Khan following a complaint filed by a 30-year-old woman who accused him of sexually assaulting her under the false promise of helping her secure roles in the film industry. According to the police, the woman alleged that Khan raped her at multiple locations while assuring her of career opportunities in cinema.
The actor has been booked under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) related to sexual assault, and an investigation is currently underway.
This development comes a day after Khan was named in a separate case involving the web series House Arrest, streamed on the Ullu app. The complaint, filed by Bajrang Dal activist Gautam Ravriya at Amboli Police Station, accuses Khan, producer Rajkumar Pandey, and other individuals associated with the platform of producing and distributing obscene content.
As per the complaint, the show features vulgar language and scenes that allegedly insult the modesty of women. The complainant stated that he received numerous messages from the public raising concerns over the indecent nature of the content.
A viral clip from House Arrest further intensified the controversy, showing Ajaz Khan allegedly pressuring contestants – especially women – into performing intimate scenes and posing inappropriate questions.
Those involved in the show have been charged under sections of the BNS, the Information Technology Act, and the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act.
