Gangster Anmol Bishnoi, a key accused in the Baba Siddique murder case, arrived in New Delhi on Wednesday, November 19, following his extradition from the United States. Security was tightened at IGI Airport’s Terminal 3 ahead of his landing, with police and a dog squad carrying out extensive checks. Bishnoi is set to be taken directly from the airport to the Patiala House Court.
According to officials, the Mumbai Police had submitted two proposals seeking his extradition, as Bishnoi faces multiple criminal cases across different states. The Union government will now determine which agency will receive his custody first, based on the severity and jurisdiction of the cases registered against him.
Authorities confirmed that the extradition was part of a coordinated multi-agency operation. Following his return to India, the Mumbai Police is expected to seek his custody to proceed with investigations related to the cases pending against him.
