Aryna Sabalenka wins the US Open 2025 women's singles.

Aryna Sabalenka successfully defended her US Open title with a commanding victory over American Amanda Anisimova in the final at Arthur Ashe Stadium. The Belarusian star needed just an hour and 34 minutes to seal a 6-3, 7-6(3) win, securing her fourth career Grand Slam title and adding to her two Australian Open triumphs.

The win also made Sabalenka the first woman since Serena Williams in 2014 to successfully defend the US Open crown. Having fallen short as runner-up at both Wimbledon and the French Open earlier this year, she found redemption in New York while also avenging her Wimbledon semifinal loss to Anisimova with a composed and dominant performance.

For the 24-year-old Anisimova, the result marked another difficult setback on the biggest stage. After suffering a heavy defeat to Iga Swiatek in the Wimbledon final earlier this season, she was once again denied a maiden major. Still, her run to the US Open final lifted her to a career-high WTA ranking of world No. 4, signaling her continued rise among the game’s elite.
