The Kamrup Metropolitan District and Sessions Court in Guwahati has rejected the bail applications of singer Amritprabha Mahanta and Zubeen Garg’s two personal security officers (PSOs), Paresh Baishya and Nandeshwar Bora, who are accused in the singer’s death case.
The accused are linked to the death of Zubeen Garg, which occurred in Singapore in September 2025. The Special Investigation Team (SIT) has formally charged them, highlighting the severity of the case.
The prosecution strongly opposed the bail pleas, emphasizing the gravity of the allegations and the involvement of the accused in the conspiracy surrounding the singer’s death.
