The IPL closing ceremony is set to be held on June 3 in Ahmedabad

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will pay tribute to the Indian Armed Forces during the closing ceremony of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 for successfully conducting Operation Sindoor.

BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia has confirmed the big news, stating that this decision was taken to honour the courage of the armed forces during their victorious conduct of ‘Operation Sindoor.’

Twenty-six people were gunned by terrorists in Pahalgam in Kashmir on April 22, following which India launched Operation Sindoor in the early hours of May 7, resulting in massive damage to terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir.

After almost more than two months of IPL 2025 actions, the cash-rich has finally reached the business end and now, BCCI have decided to honour the “bravery, courage, and selfless service” of the Indian Armed Forces by dedicating the closing ceremony to the nation’s heroes.
