The body of a 20-year-old woman from Assam, who had gone missing from Delhi for the past five days, was found under mysterious circumstances in Uttarakhand

The body of a 20-year-old woman from Assam, Rasmita Hojai, was discovered under mysterious circumstances in Uttarakhand on June 9, five days after she went missing from Delhi.

A resident of Sontila Hojai village in Assam’s Dima Hasao district, Rasmita had traveled to Delhi earlier this month to appear for the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) examination. She lost contact with her family shortly after arriving in the capital on June 5.

According to reports, two individuals who were last seen with her alerted Shivpuri police station in Uttarakhand about her disappearance. Subsequently, her body was found on the banks of the Ganga River in Pauri district.

Uttarakhand Police have confirmed the recovery but stated that the cause of death is yet to be determined. Meanwhile, Rasmita’s family has called for a thorough investigation into the events surrounding her untimely death.
