The Cabinet Committee on Political Affairs (CCPA) has approved caste census in the upcoming population census, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said.
Taking a dig at the Congress, Vaishnaw said Congress and its INDIA alliance partners have used caste census time and again as a political tool.
“Cabinet Committee on Political Affairs has decided to include caste enumeration in forthcoming census exercise,” the Union Minister said in a media briefing on Wednesday, April 30.
