Centre open to discussing Operation Sindoor and other key issues

Union Minister Kiren Rijiju on Sunday, July 20, stated that the government is fully prepared to discuss key national matters, including Operation Sindoor, during the monsoon session of Parliament, which begins on Monday, July 21. Speaking after an all-party meeting, he emphasized the Centre’s commitment to ensuring the smooth functioning of the House and expressed a willingness to engage in meaningful debate.

Rijiju highlighted the need for cooperation between the government and the Opposition, saying, “We are open to discussing important issues like Operation Sindoor in Parliament. There must be coordination to ensure proper functioning of the House.” Addressing media questions on the Opposition’s plan to raise concerns about US President Donald Trump’s recent ceasefire claims, he firmly stated that all such matters will be handled within Parliament, not outside.

He also underscored the importance of constructive dialogue, noting that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is always present and engaged in Parliament whenever significant discussions take place. Rijiju concluded by reiterating the government’s readiness to face all questions and uphold parliamentary decorum throughout the session.
