Central Bureau of
Investigation (CBI) director Subodh Kumar Jaiswal in an order made it mandatory
for all officials of the agency to be dressed in formals in the office and
warned that casual wear dressing will not be tolerated.
The order stated that the men should be dressed in shirts, formal
trousers, and formal shoes with proper shaving. They also have to with proper
shaving. On the other hand, the women employees of the CBI have been asked to
wear only sarees, suits, formal shirts, and trousers.
“No jeans, T-shirts, sports shoes, chappals, ad casual attire is
allowed in office,” said the order.
The order directed heads of branches of the CBI across the
country to ensure the concerned guidelines to be strictly followed.
According to reports, the directive was issued after it was
noticed that some staff members were not "attired properly" in the
office.
It is to be mentioned that Jaiswal took over as the 33rd director of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on May 26, a post that was lying vacant since February.
