It's officially over for Team India. New Zealand has qualified for their 14th ICC semifinal as they crushed Afghanistan by 8-wicket in Abu Dhabi on Sunday to qualify from Group 2 of the Super 12 stage for the T20 World Cup 2021 final-four.
With this result, India has failed to qualify for the semifinal contention and so is Afghanistan. Virat Kohli-led side failed to qualify for the knockout stage of the ICC tournament for the first-ever time since 2012.
The other team to qualify from the group earlier is Pakistan, who won four games and has a game left to play against Scotland on Monday.
On the other hand, India has a match left as well against Namibia on Monday but it will be insignificant as they are third in the order. India is out of the semis after losing the first two matches in the group to Pakistan and New Zealand respectively.
New Zealand to join Pakistan, England and Australia in the semi-final.
