A school in Rajasthan’s Jaipur has been directed to close down after 11 students tested positive for Covid-19 to prevent the further spread of the infection.
Education officials were alerted and closed the school as a precautionary measure.
The schools, colleges, and educational institutions reopened in the State from September 1 after a gap of almost one and a half years.
Schools reopened for Classes 9 to 12 with a 50 per cent capacity, while Classes 1 to 8 will continue with online classes for now.
The Gehlot government asked schools to resume with a 50 per cent capacity and the teaching staff were advised to take at least the first dose of the Covid19 vaccine.
Meanwhile, 28 girl students of a government residential school in Telangana's Wyra on Sunday tested positive for Covid-19.
