Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP and former Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir has filed a police complaint in Delhi alleging that he has received death threats from ‘ISIS Kashmir’.
Following the police complaint filed last night, security has been tightened outside his home in Rajendra Nagar residence in Delhi, and an investigation is underway in the matter.
As per reports, the cricketer-turned-politician received threats in the form of emails. While other details regarding the threats are yet to be ascertained.
It is to be mentioned that Gambhir was elected as the Lok Sabha MP from east Delhi from BJP in 2019.
In 2018, he announced retirement from all forms of cricket after playing for India at the international level for 15 years.
