• Missing Majuli Boy Sandeep Bhuyan Found Dead In Meghalaya, 1 Woman Held

    Sandeep Bhuyan who hails from Majuli went missing on November 20 from Guwahati

    The Assam police have arrested one woman from Meghalaya in connection with the murder case of Sandeep Bhuyan on Thursday. Sandeep's blood-riddled body was found in Meghalaya's Nongpoh after he went missing on November 20 from his office in Guwahati's Ulubari.

    The detained woman has been identified as Jolene Nongkynrih. She is from Meghalaya. She is currently being interrogated at Paltan Bazar police station.

    Sandeep who hails from Majuli went missing on November 20 after completing his work at the Bajaj Finance Office.

    After he didn't reach his rented house in Sarumotoria, Guwahati, his kin lodged a missing complaint at the Paltan Bazar police station.

    The police soon swung into action and launched a search operation and found his dead body today in Nongpoh, Meghalaya. Following the recovery of the dead body, the Assam police along with Meghalaya police started an investigation which led to the summon of Nongkynrih, the deceased's girlfriend, as per reports.

    The Paltan Bazar police have begun a firm investigation into the murder case under the orders of Special DGP, Law and Order, GP Singh.
