Union Minister For Law and Justice Kiren Rijiju has advised tourists visiting Arunachal Pradesh to gather proper information on the snowfall situation before planning their trip.
Rijiju, who recently visited Tawang district in Arunachal Pradesh, posted a 52-second video sharing a piece of advice for the tourists visiting the place.
The Minister said that Baishakhi, Sela Pass, and Nuranang are experiencing heavy snowfall and hence, the tourists should get proper information before planning their visit.
"Advise to tourists visiting Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh at this point of time. It is reported heavy snowfall between Baishakhi, Sela Pass, and Nuranang. Pls get proper information before you move because the road is extremely dangerous to drive and temperature goes down to -25 !," Rijiju said in a tweet.
In the video, the Union Minister can be seen walking with the police personnel amid the heavy snowfall. The Minister also helped the vehicles on the roads by showing the way.
He added, "Indian Army, Border Roads Organization & local people are very helpful whenever people get stuck. But precaution is always better as I've experienced desperate situations and helplessness in heavy snow and freezing cold conditions." Rijiju represents the Arunachal West constituency in Lok Sabha.
