Meghalaya government on Wednesday decided to ease some Covid-19 curbs in the State in a review meeting. In the meeting, it was decided that double vaccinated persons who wish to enter the State will no longer produce fresh RT-PCR reports on arrival. This rule will be applicable from February 11.

The government also decided to lift the night curfew in the State from February 11 and schools for classes I-V will be fully functional from February 14.

Chief Minister Conrad Sangma announcing the relaxations said, "For holding funerals, people no longer have to seek permission but have to follow all Covid protocols. Large gatherings, public meetings and weddings will have to take permission from their respective DCs."

"Bars, restaurants and movie theatres will be restricted to double vaccinated persons, and odd-even system of plying vehicles will continue in the State," he added.
