Amid the second wave of deadly coronavirus, power couple Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli have started an online campaign to raise funds for Covid-19 relief.
The couple took to the crowd-funding platform, Ketto, to raise funds for Covid-19 relief.
Taking to Twitter, Kohli wrote, “Anushka and I have started a campaign on @ketto, to raise funds for Covid-19 relief, and we would be grateful for your support. Let’s all come together and help those around us in need of our support. I urge you all to join our movement. Link in Bio! #InThisTogether."
Virushka also shared a 46-second video on their social media urging their followers to help those in need and donate.
The fundraiser will run for seven days on the crowd-funding platform and the funds raised through the initiative will be directed to 'ACT (Action Covid-19 team) Grants'.
The couple has also donated Rs 2 crore to a fund-raising project, which will raise a total of Rs 7 crore to support the country's fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
It is to be mentioned that India recorded 4.14 lakh new COVID-19 infections on Friday which is the highest single-day figure since the pandemic began last year.
