The Enforcement Directorate has filed a supplementary chargesheet against Robert Vadra in the 2018 Shikohpur land deal case

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has filed a chargesheet against Robert Vadra, husband of Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, in connection with the Shikohpur land deal case. The chargesheet also names several companies and individuals, including Congress leaders from Haryana, who were questioned during the course of the investigation. The case pertains to alleged irregularities in a land transaction in Haryana involving Vadra’s firm, Skylight Hospitality.

As per the ED, Skylight Hospitality purchased a 3.53-acre land parcel in Shikohpur in 2008 for Rs 7.5 crore and later sold it for Rs 58 crore, despite the project on the land never being completed. The agency alleges that the sharp increase in value without actual development points to possible financial misconduct and profiteering. Vadra has been named as an accused in the chargesheet and was reportedly questioned for over 18 hours by the agency in connection with the case.

The ED also recorded statements from several Congress leaders in Haryana, which have been included in the chargesheet. Vadra most recently appeared before the agency on July 14 as part of a separate money laundering probe. The latest development adds to the legal scrutiny he faces over multiple financial dealings, particularly involving land acquisitions and foreign transactions.
