The fallout between President Donald Trump and Elon Musk has turned public, with Musk hinting at starting a new political party and calling Trump ungrateful

The bromance between US President Donald Trump and the world’s richest person, Elon Musk, is ending just as their relationship started — quickly, intensely, and out in the open.

Amid a very public fallout with President Donald Trump, Elon Musk has hinted that he may create a new political party. Their once-close alliance has quickly turned into a bitter feud.

Musk posted a poll on X (formerly Twitter), asking users if it was time to form a new political party. “Is it time to create a new political party in America that actually represents the 80% in the middle? (sic)” Musk wrote.

This is part of a flurry of social media posts in which the Tesla CEO openly criticised Trump’s bill. One of Musk’s most striking comments was, “Without me, Trump would have lost the election.” He later added, “Such ingratitude.”
