Indian graduates' employability has risen significantly, from 33.95% in 2013 to 54.81% in 2024, due to government-led skill-building initiatives

The employability rate of Indian graduates rose markedly from 33.95 percent in 2013 to 54.81 percent in 2024, as stated by Union Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Mansukh Mandaviya.

The enhanced employability was linked to a range of skill development programs implemented by the government in response to the increasing global demand for skilled professionals.

Mandaviya officially opened the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) Youth Summit in Gandhinagar.
