RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav’s daughter, Rohini Acharya, has severed ties with her family and announced her exit from politics, blaming her brother Tejashwi Yadav and his aides for pushing her away. She alleged that she was subjected to filthy abuses and that a slipper was even raised in an attempt to hit her, claiming she was humiliated as a daughter, sister, wife, and mother.
A day after the RJD’s defeat in the Bihar Assembly elections, Acharya specifically blamed two close aides of Tejashwi Yadav — Sanjay Yadav and Rameez — for the party’s debacle. She stated that the treatment she faced was one of the reasons for her decision to quit politics and disown her family.
In an emotional social media post on Sunday, she wrote, “Yesterday, a daughter, a sister, a married woman, a mother was humiliated, filthy abuses were hurled at her, a slipper was raised to hit her. I did not compromise on my self-respect, I did not surrender the truth, and solely because of this, I had to endure this insult.”
