French hospitality leader Accor Hotels and InterGlobe, the parent company of IndiGo, have been partners for more than twenty years and are now targeting the establishment of 300 hotels in India by 2030.
This portfolio will be managed by a joint venture created by both companies to capitalize on the rapidly expanding mid-market segment in the country.
Accor Hotels presently operates 71 hotels in India, with an additional 40 in development. The two major companies plan to combine their existing assets, along with their development and management operations in the country, to create an independent, unified platform.
This initiative is expected to establish one of the largest entities in the Indian hospitality sector, as stated by top executives during a press conference.
